countdown: 2 days.

you know the whole "living for the weekend" mantra. well, it's taking on a whole new meaning for me right now. i have NOT had a rough week. in fact, it's been much more relaxing than most {i only have work... grad school is on a little one week hiatus. praise!} however, in {count them}... 1... 2 days! i am going to nashville to visit my best friend, oliviaann, and experience adventure and tell all kinds of secrets. then, at the end of the weekend. i will be telling her goodbye {so to speak}. she's merely moving to the most timelessly beautiful place in the US of friggin' A- hawaii. she would.
oliviaann's residence in a week. jealousy.  thanks for the foto flickr
on our list of things to do {because we all know we love lists} is see Eat, Pray, Love on opening night {friday}. oliviaann is currently reading my pre-loved copy with all the highlight and pen markings. i have mentioned before my love of this book. i know it's joining a bandwagon to say that, but that's not true for me... i read this book years ago at my favorite bookstore, sundog books. i can not speak of the film yet, but these are my reasons for counting down the days until i do see it...
1. "People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.  A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master..."
